I still remember my son wanted to be just like Justin Bieber when he was little… But thank God that craze has gone… his now 10 years old and has become more sensible…Well that’s what I’d like to believe 😊
We all had that one time in our life as kids when we wanted to copy someone’s style and almost everything…but comparing yourself with someone else or trying to copy someone else life as grown ups can be very daunting…in the process of becoming someone else, you lose your own ‘Existence’
When you try to start comparing, your own beauty gets lost trying to become someone else…
Everyday life becomes easier when you stop comparing your life with others…
Every minute you spend wishing you had someone else’s life is a minute spent wasting yours…
We all are different, we all are special in our own way, our thoughts are different, our relationships are different, we have our own personality…
Whey compare with others when you can shine your own personality…

We Humans are very strange. We make our own enemy – that not only destroys our relations but our self respect and our inner peace.
Ego -our biggest enemy of life with just three letter word but has the power to destroy everything.
We always have a chance to make our life beautiful but when anger, jealousy, and selfishness takes over, it kills the beauty of life.
When we start overacting on small things, we start comparing, competing with our own, when we start acting superior and insulting our loved ones, it destroys not only your self respect but it destroys your relationships also.
Relations do break but it never ends…and any relationship is possible only when two egos are dropped… no relationship is perfect, nobody is perfect, nobody is correct, we all make mistakes but if we can’t accept our mistakes and move on, if we can’t let go of our ego and make peace, in no time, you’ll realize you are the lonely one and only one left behind with no love and happiness….
Apologizing doesn’t always mean you are wrong, it shows you value your relationships more than your ego…
Life is short, let go of your ego, learn to respect your loved ones because your relationship is way bigger than your ego…
Time flies, there’s no rewind or replay button so enjoy every moment you have with loved ones… when you start appreciating each other, when you start respecting the difference, and when you start accepting each others flows, only than you’ll see the beauty in each other…

Yeah Yeah I’ve heard this a lot and for a long time I was also someone who use to eat 3 meals a day…But everything changed since I came across this beautiful concept that many people believe changes your life.

I have briefly discussed about intermittent fasting on my previous post but today I thought I will share my experience on this – how it changed my life completely.
If you think about it, fasting is nothing new. It’s an old age tradition that many follows – mostly for their religious purpose. I am from a Hindu family, so fasting is common in our religion but I never thought fasting can also become a lifestyle.
There came a time in my life where I was never really happy. I was grumpy, stressed, bloated, lack of sleep and feeling unhealthy all the time. So I decided to give it a try. I must admit, it’s not an easy thing to do but it’s not hard either…You just need your mind set on it and a little patience…
The below photo was taken in July 2017, I was not overweight but I was not happy, I was bloated all the time, felt sick and was really not me.

My friend asked my recently, ” Does this really work?” And I very proudly said, ” YES IT DOES”. This is the best diet where you are healthy, hydrated and living your best life. I personally follow the 16:8 approach. (There are other methods to intermittent fast) but for me, 16:8 works better.
I spend 14 to 16 hours daily consuming nothing but unsweetened beverages like coffee, tea & water. For my 8 hour window, I basically eat anything but within limits.
I start my fast at night ( my last meal @6pm), skipping breakfast and eat my first meal at 12pm. I do drink hot water with lemon, ginger and honey mix first thing in the morning. And around 10am, I will drink a cup of coffee.
The best part about fasting is you don’t need to follow any particular plan to prepare your meal. It is true, intermittent fasting gives you a little more freedom to what you eat as long as you eat healthy. I try to avoid junk food but that doesn’t mean I don’t eat ice cream or chocolates.
Fasting can be difficult but like everything new, once your body gets use to it, you won’t even realise you are actually doing it. And the best part is…it allows you to choose your own days and hours to fast.
Weekdays works well for me as most of the days I am busy at work and when I am busy, I forget about eating, and I end up doing more work than before.

The decision to fast for myself, for my health, and for my happiness was the best I ever made.
You see, when you buy a car, it needs proper service and maintenance to last long. You change the engine oil, you make sure the car is properly polished etc… if it’s well serviced, it will stay with you for long…
So why can’t we look after our own health the same way. Our body needs cleansing not only from outside but from inside as well.
My life has changed completely.
I feel more happier and healthier…
I feel more motivated than ever…
I feel more energetic and relaxed…
And most importantly, I get to sleep well. I’ve started taking care of myself, going for a morning walk, exercising whenever I get a chance and feeling happy all the time.
I have learnt to motivate myself…I have learnt to have a healthy relationship with myself…I have learnt to love myself…
It’s not the things you do once in a while, it’s the habit you adapt to. Good habit will give you good life….Bad habit will give you headache!
You’ve got to find happiness within You, happiness is the highest form of health…

Yet there was a time, I absolutely knew nothing about coffee and couldn’t imagined becoming a coffee lover.
Growing up in Fiji, Tea “Chai” is something almost every household will drink. I still drink chai but becoming a coffee fan is something else.

My love for coffee started when I first migrated to New Zealand – kiwis just love their morning coffees…or just coffee… anytime, anywhere. It’s become a culture, you just have to have a coffee first thing in the morning.
I still remember, I would be reluctant to order coffee when I am out with my friends but still order it…because that’s what everybody orders…
But whatever the reason, I am glad Coffee became part of my life. There’s nothing like the smell of a cup of coffee first thing in the morning especially in the weekends when I get to enjoy it with my husband.
Funny how a bitter taste can become so delicious…don’t you love the taste of your coffee??? Sipping your coffee and thinking about the possibilities, about new ideas or just simply taking a moment to reflect on things while enjoying your coffee early in the mornings…
Our life is just like a cup of coffee… bitter, sweet and strong…You can still enjoy it know matter how bitter it taste…it’s all about how you make it or take it…
Life is short, there’s no place for grudges as grudges are a waste of perfect happiness… Love deeply and forgive easily, make peace with loved ones, enjoy today and make sweet memories for yesterday so our tomorrow can be beautiful.

I took my son to his golf lessons yesterday and found this cute little bunny.(I just couldn’t resist, I had to take his photo).What amazed me was how calm this bunny looked. There were golfers, kids around playing golf but it didn’t mattered. As I watched, the bunny hopped his way into the nearby bush. It didn’t bother him that a ball might hit him or he might come under the golf cart. Maybe he had his fear, but it didn’t show, he just knew where to go…
And I said to myself, this is exactly how our lives should be….Without fear.
Life begins where fear ends. And when fear ends, success starts…
And it’s never too late to start again. And it’s never to late to be what you want to be!!!
Not all days are the same, not all mornings are the same, but each mornings will bring you it’s own story, a beautiful beginning to a beautiful story. It’s upon us, how we want to end this story!!!

Fall in love with taking care of yourself; mind, body and spirit. You only need an hour of your busy schedule to look after yourself.
You don’t alway need a gym to feel good… your bedroom / living room is enough for your favorite workout. My personal favorite is “dance to the beat” even if you can’t dance, just shake your booty, create your own zumba!!!
You don’t alway need expensive diet to feel healthy… your diet starts from your own kitchen…. be your own chef. Cooking well doesn’t mean cooking fancy.
Being healthy and fit doesn’t always mean you eat less, it’s about what you eat and how you eat….
Being healthy is also about how you feel, what you feel…
It’s about what you think and how you think!!!
I believe waking up early, going for a nice walk even if it means just for couple of blocks….anything is better than nothing and believe me, you will be energetic all day long!!!
Fall in love with taking care of yourself….nobody is going to give you anything unless you try it yourself.
Only you know what you want, and only you’ll be sorry as if you don’t get it. Your loss matters but only to You.
Healthy body makes healthy mind….and when you mind is healthy, your life becomes happier.

And the way I see it, we are the drivers of our smile!
We decide where to drive, we decide which turn to take and we decide to drive faster or slower. If we drive too fast, we topple, and we when we topple, we control our speed.
Similarly, when we control our speed in life and become our own driver, we start enjoying the beauty of life.
Why let someone else drive your car when you have the licence, why let someone else take you places, when you can find your own beautiful place?
Drive your own life like you drive your own car. If we do take a wrong turn, we slow down and try to get back in the right lane. Not all wrong turns are bad, some will take you to your destination, it just takes little longer to arrive.
Remember, our best success comes after many disappointments.
Be the king of your steering, take control of your speed and enjoy the surroundings!!!
